At the risk of being called corny, here it is: Happy Birthday, Bono.

What can Gropius say? The world is a better place because of you.
Readers, why not make a donation to the African Well Fund? There's a birthday campaign going on, and you can be part of it. Check it out here.

While I was scouting for a suitable photo for the b-day post, I found this one. Couldn't resist.

It's been a busy day... Mother's Day, parents' 52nd wedding anniversary, and now Bono's birthday. I forgot to send a card. No wonder he canceled lunch.

Bono is a wonderful humanitarian. But I hope he understands that I don't have his bank account. In cutting back my budget, I've limited my charitable giving to the local area.

In other words, I'm tapped out. OK, that came out wrong. No pun intended. Seriously!

I LOOOOOVVVVVeeeeee the cake image. Do you and Dakota make that? It doesn't look like stock to me. But I could be wrong. Dead wrong. DT wrong.

For those who leave comments & at least one other who asked husband about the cake... No, I did not bake a cake for Bono (but should have). This brilliant image was retrieved from Google images. I wish I could claim responsibility.
