The Boys are Back

...And on the contrary (of bad music), the most savvy, succulent Irish rockers are back in my life. That's right, U2 has a new album. It's coming out in a matter of days, and already I've enjoyed previews of the delicious melodies to come. What's not to love about them? Always exciting, many times surprising, there's never a dull moment...and usually more than just clever tunes and lyrics behind the song, the singer and the rest of the snazzy crew.

I hate to think of myself as a groupie--the word itself makes me cringe. But if paying to see them live 7 times and being thrilled about new brilliance on the horizon classifies me as the G word, I guess I can't deny it. March 3 is the special date. Hope you'll be buying then...Think of it as an economic stimulus inspiration package.

I have been in love with U2 since junior high when every other girl was in love with Journey. What's not to love??? OK, they did me worry me with the "Pop" album but I never truly lost fatih.

I have an extreme fear of crowds especially indoors. But for 20 years I had wanted to see U2 live in concert. Finally, for the Vertigo tour I bought tickets and had to agonize for 9 months waiting for the concert date to arrive. My hubby went with me to the concert and it took 2 tranquilizers to get me in the doors of the Ice Palace. No joke. But it was so worth it!

Good news, I've created a second generation of U2 lovers in my boys. Bad news, now they want to see U2 live. I'm going to need more tranquilizers!

We have a lot in common...12 year old is now mad about U2 and I have promised to take him to the next concert. We'll have to get tix together and kids can enjoy.

I just purchased our tickets for U2 at the RayJay! I had to go for the cheap seats since we're taking the boys this time. Only 6 months and 1 week to go...

After the stressed incurred trying to buy Vertigo tickets before they sold out in 9 minutes. This time I decided to sign up for the fan club so I could get a pre-sale promo code. Definitely worth the $50 investment.

If you sign up, don't be discouraged if you see that the pre-sale tickets are sold out on the U2 site. The promo code still works on Ticketmaster.
